Durante su intervenci\u00f3n, nuestro director general, Ing. Juan Manuel de Le\u00f3n, subray\u00f3 la necesidad de avanzar hacia una verdadera integraci\u00f3n ferroviaria regional.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>En sus palabras:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><i><b>\u201cEn Centroam\u00e9rica, todos los proyectos ferroviarios est\u00e1n desintegrados. En Guatemala se est\u00e1 trabajando sobre lo que ya exist\u00eda en el sentido de interconexi\u00f3n nacional e internacional.\u201d<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0El Ing. De Le\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n enfatiz\u00f3 el impacto que esta visi\u00f3n puede generar para el futuro de la regi\u00f3n:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><i><b>\u201cEsto tendr\u00e1 un impacto en el cambio clim\u00e1tico, en la modernidad y en el tiempo de transporte. Quiero exhortar a todos los que estamos aqu\u00ed a que vean a Guatemala como una plataforma de desarrollo hacia el sur.\u201d<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">\u00a0Con esta perspectiva, REMED reafirma que un sistema ferroviario interconectado y sostenible potenciar\u00e1 el crecimiento econ\u00f3mico, mejorar\u00e1 la movilidad log\u00edstica, abrir\u00e1 nuevas oportunidades comerciales y permitir\u00e1 avanzar en proyectos que compartan un mismo objetivo: conectar y fortalecer a la regi\u00f3n.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Espacios como este foro permiten que los actores clave de la industria ferroviaria reconozcan a Guatemala como un punto estrat\u00e9gico para el
